SUPER SATURDAY AUCTION
This newsletter is going to press on the day of the auction.....so, we've no results to report. What's true, however, is
that there's quite a buzz about the event, lots of excitement. Outside of our office is a huge pile of white and green
linens ready to go on the tables. A large crew of elves is prepared to do the
transformation of courts 1 and 2. All the auction news will be posted as it comes in.
CONGRATULATIONS
Congrats to members Elysia Iverson and Dan Bulkley who have both recently been featured in local publications. Dan
once again made the front page of The Ashland Tidings for all of his athletic accomplishments; Elysia was featured in
an article in Oregon Healthy Living where her lifelong passion for sports was discussed. We are lucky to have these
two fine role models at ATFC!

SPOTLIGHT ON FRONT DESK VOLUNTEERS
Ms. February is the vivacious Donna Wagner. Donna exudes enthusiasm in all that she does and loves being a Front
Desk Volunteer because "ATFC members are so friendly, supportive, and appreciative of the work we do." A well-
liked recent read was Animal, Vegetable, Miracle by Barbara Kingsolver. For Donna, a perfect Saturday would start
with a long woods hike or ocean beach walk and be followed by a spa, a massage and a cup of tea; a healthy home-
cooked meal (maybe Terry's
Mussels Marinara??) and a quiet evening with Terry & Woosha would round out the day. Relatively new to tennis, she
is pleased and surprised that she's steadily improving (of course, playing EVERY day helps!!!). It’s widely agreed that
Donna sets the tone for fashion on the courts! If you haven't yet met her, please take a moment to introduce yourself.
Thanks for all you contribute to ATFC, Donna!

MS. MARTINA MANNERSTILOVA
Dear MMM:
Do you have a housekeeper?
Signed, Covered in Yellow Fuzz
Dearest Fuzzy:
I'm glad you have such respect for Ms. Martina's ability to read between the lines, but I would suggest that in your
"regular" life you spell out your underlying question more clearly. Wizard that I am, I believe you are asking about ball
machine users. You are troubled that sometimes they don't leave enough time to clean up the balls adequately, as
well as to sweep the court where once the ball machine stood.
Dearest ATFC friends, please help out Fuzzy and allow the last ten minutes of your allotted ball machine court time to
make the court nice for the next players.
On a side note, I have been thinking about you all often (well, not as often, of course, as you all think about me). I
hope your Super Saturday Auction was a lot of fun.
Affectionately, MMM
