your part in making the holidays brighter for many local needy kids. Special thanks to Patty Knapp for making it
easy for the rest of us to give.

JANUARY 20TH REMINDER
As of January 20, ATFC will no longer be providing paper cups for water.  We will continue to  sell water by the
bottle; in addition, we will soon be selling  BPA-free water bottles with an ATFC logo.   Thanks for adjusting to this
change - how great that we'll be helping the environment by eliminating more than 3,000 paper cups/month from
being put on the garbage heap!!
INTERESTED FRIENDS???
If you have a friend or neighbor with a serious interest in joining ATFC please see Jo or Alan to arrange for a free
one-week pass for him or her.

MS. MARTINA MANNERSTILOVA
Dear Possums:  Over the holidays, Cousin Arnold told me  a sad story. Apparently when he was growing up in
Austria his neighbor, Bernard "the Bod" Buttendorf, began taking down every sign he found about upcoming body-
building competitions because he didn't want other kids to know about them.  Well, Bernard was very successful,
pulling down flyers almost the moment they were stapled onto the telephone poles!  All over Vienna little gym rats
were in tears because no one would get to see their fabulous biceps - there were simply no competitions.
Meanwhile,  "the Bod" was winning trophy after trophy.  One day, though,  he woke up and realized it just wasn't fun
any more - a big part of the experience  of  showing off was sharing it with other vain little kids.
"But  how does this relate to us, Ms. Manners?  We already know Marius would win the Mr.ATFC title?" some of
you are asking.  Well, I have learned that there has been a bit of "Bernard" going on at ATFC!  Apparently, some
club members are taking down flyers about your amazing Double the Fun on a Winter's Evening dinner and auction
from kiosks around Ashland!   Yes, they're slinking around at night! The reason:  they know that the evening of
January 24th is going to be quite fabulous and they don't want to share it with people who aren't ATFC members.
Possums, this is not cool!!
Instead of keeping  townsfolk AWAY from the auction, we need to INVITE them!  They will have fun, they will
purchase great items, the Club will benefit, AND they'll get a great introduction to ATFC.
So, invite all of your friends and the person who brings the most will get a special prize from Ms. Martina....

                     Affectionately,
                            M.M.M.
